The monsoon session of Parliament, which commenced on July 20, concluded after repeated disruptions and adjournments in the Lok Sabha. Both the treasury and opposition benches traded accusations over the parliamentary impasse. Key parliamentary records highlight that out of twelve bills passed during the session, nine were cleared without discussion, with several approved within five minutes.
Question Hour in the Lok Sabha lasted for a total of nine minutes, resulting in a one percent productivity rate, where only two of three hundred and sixty questions received oral answers. The only legislation that underwent extensive debate was the Paper Leaks NEET Bill, which was discussed for over eleven hours.
