The Parliament's monsoon session was adjourned sine die following continuous disruptions and low productivity. The Lok Sabha recorded an output of nineteen percent, while the Rajya Sabha achieved thirty-nine percent productivity. Out of twelve bills passed during the session, eleven were passed without debate. The operational cost of running Parliament is approximately six crore rupees for six hours, resulting in an estimated loss of two hundred crore rupees due to wasted hours.
The session commenced with the singing of Vande Mataram in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and opposition members before being adjourned sine die. Following the adjournment, political parties engaged in a blame game. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju accused the opposition of fleeing from debate, calling it a new low in parliamentary proceedings. Conversely, opposition members criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for absenting themselves from House proceedings despite being present on the premises.
