The Valmiki Research Centre VRS) of Ramanarayanam temple (in Vizianagaram has taken the initiative to launch Indian Knowledge System (IKS) clubs in North Andhra and other regions to enable children to learn about Indian heritage, culture, traditions. Vice Chancellor of B.R. Ambedkar University in Srikakulam and Director VRS in Vizianagaram said; “IKS first club was started at the Kaviti Government Junior College in Srikakulam district to introduce students to great Indian epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam and others and encourage them to understand the importance of morals, human values in life.” He added that the availability of unwanted content on social media was ruining youngsters, and this prompted VRS to launch clubs in educational institutions. Lajapathirai said that IKS Clubs will help students to discuss about India’s heritage and culture and their relevance in present day society. He said that youngsters who follow the right path would play a crucial role in achieving the goals of Vikasit Bharat-2047 set by the Union government.
