Investigations revealed that a phone, a charger, and a pen drive were seized from Revanna, with officials allegedly finding 80 to 90 downloaded pornographic videos along with newspaper clippings featuring women on the device.
Following the revelation, police suspended the additional assistant superintendent of the prison and issued a show-cause notice to the jail superintendent, while registering a fresh FIR regarding the security lapses. The report highlights a recurring pattern of VIP culture and rule violations at Bengaluru Central Prison, referencing past instances involving actor Darshan, VK Sasikala, serial rapist Umesh Reddy, and alleged terror recruiters who reportedly enjoyed special privileges, smartphones, and televisions behind bars.
