Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked with a kirpan while offering prayers at a gurdwara in Nanded, Maharashtra. Badal sustained an injury to his hand and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. The attacker, identified as Jaspal Singh, was detained by police within minutes of the incident. During questioning, Jaspal reportedly gave a bizarre explanation, saying he 'just felt like doing it' attacking Badal.
