The delivery of notices under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls must be completed by August 31, said in-charge Collector G. Vidyadhari on Thursday. Of the 2,29,931 notices to be issued in the district, 2,22,243 have been generated so far, of which 11,012 have been delivered, she said, directing officials to complete the exercise before the month-end and prioritise direct delivery wherever possible. Vidyadhari’s remarks came after Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav reviewed election-related preparations, including polling stations and Forms 6, 7 and 8, with District Collectors through video conference from the CEO’s office in Amaravati. She later asked officials to set daily targets for disposing of Forms 6 and 8 received under claims and objections, and to avoid pendency, reviewing constituency-wise pending forms.
