Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Munde’s sweeping food safety crackdown has crossed 1,000 inspections, targeting restaurants, quick-commerce hubs and institutions. From Domino’s and KFC outlets to Blinkit, Zomato and Zepto warehouses, officials have flagged expired food, cockroaches, poor storage and hygiene violations. Now, even government premises in Karnataka—including the Vidhan Soudha complex and the Health Department canteen—are under the scanner.
