The Borivali Railway Police in Mumbai have filed an 1,100-page charge sheet in connection with the June 24 murder of 22-year-old passenger Mayank Lohar, who was stabbed to death inside a Mumbai local train following a seating dispute. The comprehensive charge sheet includes statements from 68 eyewitnesses alongside circumstantial evidence.
Given the gravity of the incident, the police have requested that the trial be conducted in a fast-track court. Additionally, a request has been submitted to appoint senior advocate Ajay Misra as the special public prosecutor to lead the prosecution in the murder case.
