Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju hits out at the Opposition over the functioning of Parliament, saying the government was ready for discussion but the Opposition was “running away” from debate.
Rijiju said 12 Bills were passed during the session, calling the legislative business fruitful, but highlighted productivity of 19% in the Lok Sabha and 39% in the Rajya Sabha in terms of discussions.
He also criticised Congress MPs over protests and sloganeering, saying Parliament should focus on debate and discussion. On delimitation, Rijiju said the government was focused on discussing issues concerning the present rather than the future.
