Maharashtra has announced major measures for farmers and sustainable development, including the implementation of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farm Loan Waiver Scheme. In the first phase, ₹13,000 crore will benefit around 17 lakh farmers, while a ₹48,000 crore power bill waiver is aimed at nearly 50 lakh farmers. The state also plans to strengthen its Sustainable Development Goals performance, with a focus on 10 aspirational districts, improved real-time data collection and bridging data gaps.
