Speaking from a hospital bed on the 11th day of his hunger strike, student activist and JKLM leader Devendra Nath Mahato reiterated his resolve to continue the agitation over Jharkhand recruitment examination irregularities. Mahato highlighted that thousands of youth joined the protest outside the Jharkhand Assembly, making it a deep responsibility for him to represent their trust.
Rejecting government claims of fulfilling most demands, Mahato insisted that key grievances remain unaddressed and reiterated the non-negotiable demand for a 'CBI probe' and cancellation of compromised exams. He clarified that the protest is aimed at reforming the failing administrative system rather than opposing specific political figures, warning that opposition to the government would intensify if system reforms are not implemented.
Mahato also requested permission from hospital authorities to return to the protest site to resume his satyagraha.
