NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday directed ride-hailing platforms to review and stop any provision for giving an "advance tip" to riders.In a circular, the ministry of road transport and Highways said there have been instances where some platforms have introduced this feature on their apps to lure people into paying a tip in advance, increasing the chances of getting a vehicle quickly.The ministry said any tip is voluntary and can be paid only after completing a ride.
