An Israeli national and two foreign women have been arrested in connection with the case, ANI news agency reported, citing the Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra ATS.
₹4 Crore Drug Seized In Mumbai According to the report, the ATS seized 2,050 grams of methamphetamine worth around ₹4 crore from Bandra (East) in Mumbai. During questioning, the arrested Israeli national allegedly revealed that he had purchased the drug from a factory in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Based on the information provided during the investigation, the ATS conducted a raid at the factory with assistance from local police. ₹5.4 Crore Methamphetamine Found In Greater Noida The raid in Greater Noida led to the seizure of another 2,688 grams of methamphetamine, valued at around ₹5.4 crore. Drug manufacturing materials were also recovered from the location, according to the report. The combined seizure from Mumbai and Greater Noida amounted to 4,738 grams of methamphetamine valued at approximately ₹9.4 crore.
Meth Tablets Worth ₹45 Crore Seized In Mizoram The inter-state drug bust comes days after 15 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth ₹45 crore were seized from an ambulance in Mizoram. Three people, including a woman allegedly posing as a patient, were arrested in connection with the seizure, PTI news agency reported, citing an Assam Rifles official. A joint team of the Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted the raid in the Seling area on August 6 following a tip-off. The ambulance used to transport the drugs was also seized. Accused Handed Over To DRI Assam Rifles described the seizure as one of the significant narcotics recoveries in Mizoram and highlighted the coordination between the paramilitary force and the DRI.
