Visuals of waterlogging inside the premises of the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh have gone viral, raising questions about its infrastructure. Rainwater accumulated along the stretch connecting the terminal to the parking area, forcing passengers to navigate waterlogged pathways. Airport staff cleared the water within 30 minutes, and airport management confirmed that flight operations and systems remained unaffected.
Built at a cost of thousands of crores, the aviation gateway began commercial operations just weeks ago following its inauguration by Prime Minister Modi. The incident has raised concerns regarding construction safeguards and drainage management during heavy rainfall.
