CM Adityanath launches Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam mega plantation campaign

• Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday (June 5, 2026) launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ mega plantation campaign at Kukrail, on the occasion of World Environment Day, adding world today is facing serious environmental concerns which need to be addressed through collective and dedicated effort from all stakeholders.
• “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set a goal before the people of the country, emphasizing that every citizen has a responsibility towards their mother and motherland.
• That is why he dedicated the theme of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign to mothers.
• Since a mother is the dearest person in everyone’s life, every individual should fulfill this responsibility by planting a tree in her name and help carry this campaign forward,” said Mr. Adityanath, addressing the function.
• Adityanath urged people to develop forests in both urban and rural areas.
