Karnataka Cabinet portfolios have been allocated nineteen days after the government formation and ten days after nineteen ministers took oath, coming just twenty-four hours before the assembly session starts on August 13. Chief Minister retains key portfolios including Finance, Intelligence, Cabinet Affairs, Law and Justice, Department for Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), and Information.
Key portfolio changes include Chellappa Swami taking charge of Major Irrigation amid the ongoing Cauvery dispute, Santosh Lad receiving Labour, Rizwan Arshad getting Food and Civil Supplies, B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan assigned Housing, UT Khader receiving Minority Affairs, Waqf and Hajj, and Lakshman Savadi taking Cooperation. Primary Education stays with Madhu Bangarappa, while Basavaraj Rayareddy gets Higher Education.
