Nitin Gadkari’s 46-Kg Weight Loss Journey Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has revealed that he lost 46 kg after changing his lifestyle following the COVID pandemic, which he described as a turning point in the way he approached his health. Gadkari said he once weighed around 135 kg and now weighs about 89 kg. He attributed the transformation to a major lifestyle change, particularly making regular exercise a part of his daily routine. Speaking to Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Gadkari discussed his demanding schedule and how he makes time for exercise. Despite working late into the night, he said he wakes up at 7 am and spends around two and a half hours exercising. COVID Changed Approach To Health Gadkari said exercise has become an important part of his daily routine rather than something he does occasionally. He also described his earlier lifestyle as unplanned and undisciplined, saying his approach to health changed significantly after the COVID pandemic. The minister said his weight loss was not simply a cosmetic transformation but part of a broader change in his approach to health.
He said the pandemic became a turning point after he lost friends who were close to him. The experience made him realise the importance of taking better care of his health. From 135 Kg To 89 Kg Gadkari said he had reached approximately 135 kg at one point. He now weighs around 89 kg. He linked the change to a broader lifestyle shift after the pandemic rather than presenting it as a quick weight loss programme. For Gadkari, the experience changed the way he viewed exercise and personal health. He has stressed the importance of maintaining good health rather than focusing only on body weight. Exercise Is Now A Daily Routine In the video shared by Farah Khan, Gadkari described his current schedule and said he exercises for around two to two and a half hours every day. He explained that even when his professional commitments continue late into the night, he gets up at 7 am and makes time for exercise. “Then I will wake up at 7 am and do exercise for two and a half hours. I used to be 135 kg at one point, and now I weigh 89 kg," Gadkari said. He also pointed to the visible changes he has experienced since adopting the routine. His comments show that exercise has become a consistent part of his lifestyle rather than a temporary measure taken specifically for weight loss. ‘I Had A Very Undisciplined Life’ Gadkari has spoken openly about his earlier lifestyle.
