The central government has expressed readiness for a discussion in Parliament regarding the student movement related to the NEET examination. In a letter addressed to the Lok Sabha Speaker, the Home Minister stated that the government is willing to answer all questions from the opposition and participate in a detailed debate. The letter highlighted that the Parliamentary Affairs Minister had previously conveyed consent during the Business Advisory Committee meeting.
It was noted that during an earlier discussion on the Public Examinations Prevention of Unfair Means Amendment Bill 2026, opposition members did not raise views concerning the NEET examination. Despite this, the government requested time allocation for a mutually agreed discussion and expressed willingness to suspend Question Hour if permitted. The Home Minister urged opposition parties to engage in a formal parliamentary debate rather than causing disruptions, emphasizing that the government remains fully prepared to address all concerns.
