A 29-year-old private school teacher, Shalini Yadav, was found dead in a water-filled bathtub at her rented house in Fatehpur on Saturday morning. Her family has accused her husband, Dilip Yadav, and his two brothers, Bhupendra and Sandeep, of murdering her with a sharp-edged weapon. Police said they received information that Shalini had been found dead inside her house and immediately reached the spot. During the inspection, police found injury marks on her body, including injuries to her head and leg. The body was sent for post-mortem examination. He said Shalini worked as a teacher at a private school, while Dilip was a government school teacher. The couple had married around nine to 10 years ago. Police detained Dilip for questioning and began investigating the circumstances surrounding Shalini's death. The SP said police were examining all aspects of the case and collecting evidence from the scene. He said further legal action would be taken based on the post-mortem report, other evidence and the complaint submitted by the family. According to the family, Shalini and Dilip had a love marriage on December 3, 2017. Shalini's mother, Phoolmati, said the two had been in contact over the phone while they were studying in the same city.
When the family arranged Shalini's marriage elsewhere, she told her father, Dharmraj, that she loved Dilip and that he belonged to the same community. Phoolmati said Dharmraj then went to Dilip's house, fixed the marriage and arranged the wedding at a guest house in Jayram Nagar. The couple later had a son, who is seven years old. Shalini worked at a private school, while Dilip served as an assistant teacher at a government primary school in Chak Alipur under Bahua block. The family alleged that Shalini had been troubled for some time and that disputes had developed between the couple.
Phoolmati alleged that Dilip had been upset with Shalini because of the dispute. She alleged that Dilip, along with his brothers Bhupendra and Sandeep, killed Shalini with a sharp-edged weapon. She demanded that all three accused be sentenced to death. Shalini's father, Dharmraj, filed a complaint against Dilip and his two brothers, following which police registered a case, according to the information provided by the family. Ends
