Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin supported the resolution, stressing that Tamil Nadu's current share of parliamentary representation should not decline. The DMK has also highlighted earlier efforts under M.K. Stalin to oppose population-based delimitation and build a united front among southern states.
