Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a fresh appeal to the Opposition to allow Parliament to function, saying he is ready for an extensive debate on the issues being raised by them. Shah said the Opposition should submit a letter to the Speaker by 2 PM and that discussions could begin from 3 PM, with him remaining in the House to answer every question.
He said the government has nothing to hide and challenged the Opposition to decide whether it wants a debate or disruption. Shah also stressed that serious issues should be discussed at length according to parliamentary procedure rather than through a formal statement.
