A fresh security alert has been triggered in Jammu and Kashmir following a purported threat letter attributed to the United Liberation Council (ULC). Reports say the letter named six Kashmiri Pandit government employees and allegedly included their phone numbers and details about their families and locations.
Security has since been stepped up in areas inhabited by Kashmiri Pandits. Authorities have also asked some Kashmiri Pandit employees working in the Valley to work from home temporarily as a precaution. Community organisations have demanded stronger protection and a comprehensive threat assessment.
