The incident reportedly took place on August 9. According to the cops, the woman had gone to Umargam in Gujarat with her male friend. While the two were returning, their bike skidded at Aamgaon in Talasari, causing both of them to fall onto the road. According to the police, three men travelling on a bike approached the woman and her friend after the accident. The men allegedly harassed the woman’s male friend and chased him away from the spot. The three men then allegedly called three more associates, taking the total number of accused to six. The six allegedly forcibly took the 19-year-old woman on a bike to a secluded location at Achhad.
According to the cops, the woman was allegedly gang-raped at the location. The details of what happened after she was allegedly taken to the secluded spot were provided in the complaint and police account. Following the incident, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint. Talasari police subsequently registered a case and initiated an investigation. Police have so far arrested three of the six accused in connection with the case. A search was underway for the remaining three accused.
