Former Maoist leader Tippiri Thirupati excels in TG LAWCET-2026, exemplifies perseverance

• Driven by perseverance, the 61-year-old former Maoist leader Tippiri Thirupati alias Devuji excelled in the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET)-2026, the results of which were announced on Thursday.
• Sources close to his family said he secured 349th rank in the test for L.L.B Five Year Degree Course.
• Thirupati, a native of Korutla in Jagtial district, returned to the mainstream earlier this year after spending nearly four decades underground as a key figure in the outlawed outfit’s armed rebellion.
• He had a meteoric rise in the ranks of the banned organisation from a student leader of the Radical Students Union (RSU) to the Central Committee (Apex decision making body) of the banned organisation during his underground life spanning around 40 years.
• He appeared for the Intermediate second year Telugu exam last month to resume his studies.
