Chandra Kumar Bose, who recently resigned from the Trinamool Congress after an earlier rift with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that the foundation of the proposed Azad Hind Party would be laid on what he described as Netaji’s inclusive and secular ideology, India Today reported.
Speaking to the outlet, he said: “Nearly 80 years after Independence, the youth are once again stepping forward. We saw that spirit in the Jantar Mantar protests". Bose cited widespread corruption ingrained in politics and institutions, saying the phenomena had left youngsters frustrated with the existing system. “There’s rampant corruption across the country. All political parties are involved. In education, health infrastructure and industry, corruption has become a way of life". Youngsters ‘Fed Up’ With Governments Chandra Kumar Bose, 66, claimed that young people were “fed up" with governments and the administration. He argued that they needed political room to fight for their rights. “What could be better than fighting under the banner of Netaji’s Azad Hind Fauj, the Azad Hind Party?" he told India Today.
Bose joined the BJP in 2016 and stayed with the party for approximately seven years. He said that he had been assured by the party that an Azad Hind Morcha would be established within the structure to endorse the ideology of Netaji. After quitting, he had described his decision to join the party as a “mistake". Bose’s remarks unfold against the backdrop of recent Gen Z protests at Jantar Mantar. Led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), the demonstration began late in June over the NEET-UG paper leak row. In July, the protests ended with the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan –– a key demand raised by the protesting students.
