In an interview with India Today, Neha Bora, president of the All India Students Association (AISA), addressed student demonstrations in Ranchi, Jharkhand, comparing them to earlier protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Responding to police action against students protesting the JSSC CGL and JPSC examinations in Ranchi, Bora asserted, "All forms of state repression is state repression." She noted that right-wing organizations are showing interest in the Ranchi agitation while media coverage differed from the Delhi protests.
Addressing allegations of political motives, Bora called for systematic examination reforms, including removing private agencies from organizing public recruitment exams and holding state governments accountable for paper leaks and mismanagement. She confirmed visiting Ranchi to support hunger-striking students and reported that AISA members faced water cannons, lathis, and tear gas during demonstrations while demanding exam cancellations and fresh tests.
