In Bengaluru, a 40-year-old man allegedly strangled his two young daughters, aged five and ten, inside a room at a hotel near the airport before attempting suicide by slitting his throat. Hotel staff discovered the bodies after opening the room door with a duplicate key when the man failed to check out on August 10. The suspect survived and is receiving treatment in a hospital.
Police recovered a note pointing to a marital dispute and suspicions of an extramarital affair as the primary motive behind the crime. The local Deputy Commissioner of Police confirmed that preliminary investigations indicate domestic discord led to the incident, and further probe is underway.
