The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food license of a Blinkit dark store located in Malad West, Mumbai, following a food safety inspection on August 7. Officials discovered severe hygiene violations, including cockroaches on fruits and vegetables, expired food products, damaged packaging, and food items stored directly on the floor. The inspection report highlighted additional lapses such as poor cold storage, rusted racks, inadequate pest control, improper waste management, and gaps in employee health records and personal hygiene.
