According to a statement issued by his office, the 90-year-old Buddhist leader traveled from Dharamshala for the procedure and is expected to visit Ladakh later this month following his recovery. The visit comes weeks ahead of a planned stay in Ladakh and follows a period of public engagements in Dharamshala, where the Nobel Peace Prize laureate recently received his Grammy Award for the audiobook album ‘Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’.
