Speaking in Patna, Bihar, Kishor said lathi charges had taken place at Jantar Mantar and in Patna, while similar action was also being witnessed in Jharkhand.
‘Youth Will Inevitably Take To The Streets’ Kishor said young people would continue taking to the streets when they remained troubled by issues such as examination paper leaks, the education system and unemployment. “When people are troubled by paper leaks, troubled by the collapsed education system, and troubled by unemployment, the youth will inevitably take to the streets," he said. #WATCH | Patna, Bihar. However, Kishor said such measures would not resolve the concerns driving the protests.
‘You Cannot Stop It With Lathis’ Kishor warned that the issue would not disappear simply through the use of force and said the anger among young people would continue to spread. “This won’t be suppressed by ordering lathi charges. This issue isn’t going to stop. This fire will spread from below and is spreading," he said. He further said authorities could not intimidate young people or prevent them from raising their concerns through the use of force. “You cannot intimidate the youth and the children. You cannot stop it with the force of lathis," Kishor said. Kishor Calls For Action On Jobs, Education The Jan Suraaj Party founder said governments needed to address the underlying problems of employment and education instead of relying on police action against protesters. “The government will have to address the root problems of employment and education," he said.
