In an exclusive interview with India Today, Independent MLA Rana Inder Pratap Singh raised serious concerns over the approval of private digital and cloud university bills in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Alleging that technical and medical courses are being permitted under distance education contrary to central guidelines, Singh stated, "The reality is this, that education today is being sold in Punjab." He accused the state government of denying him the floor to speak on the flagship education agenda and claimed that these dummy universities lack basic infrastructure.
Terming the move an attempt to loot the state's youth, he declared that he will challenge the bill in court.
