Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, is organising a week-long Bridge Course on Indian Heritage and Culture under PM-USHA through its Centre for International Relations. The programme brings together students from Malaysia, Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Botswana, along with local students, to promote cultural exchange and global understanding.
The students participating in the programme get an opportunity to interact directly with international peers, exchange cultural experiences, and develop a broader global perspective. The programme includes academic sessions, workshops, cultural activities, community interactions, and educational visits covering Indian traditions, festivals, yoga, music, dance, cuisines and crafts.
The programme includes seven major academic/cross-cultural sessions, along with three practical and demonstration-based cultural activities, providing participants with opportunities for both academic learning and experiential engagement. Field visits to temples, SVITSA, local markets and rural communities provide participants with first-hand exposure to local traditions. A cross-cultural session enables Indian and international students to share their customs and experiences.
SPMVV Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vennam Uma encouraged international students to interact with fellow students and local communities to gain a deeper understanding of Indian culture and develop lasting academic connections.
