GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg on Monday unveiled the poster for the annual ‘News in Frames’ photography exhibition, to be organised by the Vizag Photo Journalists’ Association (VPJA) at Visakha Museum on August 19 and 20.
VPJA representatives met Mr. Garg and invited him to inaugurate the exhibition on August 19. They showed him a video featuring rare photographs captured by photojournalists on various occasions. Garg appreciated the photographs and suggested displaying selected images on digital screens at the exhibition.
He said photography could preserve events, emotions and history for future generations, and highlighted the role of photojournalists in bringing significant developments to the public. The exhibition will feature photographs on public life, culture, nature, development and other aspects of society.
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Entry is free.
