Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi addressed a joint press conference regarding the ongoing protest and violence against students in Delhi. Addressing the media, Kharge accused the Union government of failing to address paper leaks, student lathi charges, and alleged financial irregularities in the Ram Temple Trust. He outlined three non-negotiable demands, including a public apology from the Prime Minister and accountability for the temple trust funds.
Joining the press briefing, Rahul Gandhi targeted Home Minister Amit Shah over the usage of pellet guns and spiked lathis against peacefully protesting youngsters in Delhi. Gandhi questioned whether the Home Minister authorized the action or was unaware of it, asserting that Shah must clarify his position and take responsibility. He added that the opposition remains firm on its demands regarding student safety and accountability for the Ram Mandir Trust funds.
