The man, identified as Gade Rajeswara Rao from a village in Telangana’s Mahabubabad district, reportedly lodged a complaint after allegedly discovering WhatsApp and Instagram conversations between his wife, Bhavani, and Saidulu, a courier delivery agent from Khammam.
According to the report, Rao claimed that the conversations indicated a plan to “get him out of the way". He reportedly submitted screenshots and other material to the police, saying he feared for his life as well as the safety of his two daughters. Rao reportedly told the police that he married Bhavani in 2016 and that the couple has two daughters. He alleged that Bhavani subsequently developed a relationship with Saidulu, who worked as a courier delivery agent in Khammam. According to his complaint, Rao alleged that Saidulu had been visiting their home when he was away. He reportedly became suspicious on July 27 and subsequently checked his wife’s phone, where he allegedly found conversations between Bhavani and Saidulu discussing how to kill him. The report mentioned that one of the purported conversations allegedly involved a suggestion that Rao should not be killed inside the house because it could raise suspicion. Instead, Bhavani allegedly proposed making his death appear to be the result of a road accident. In another purported exchange cited in the complaint, Bhavani allegedly told Saidulu that if he did not kill her husband, she would do it herself.
Rao submitted screenshots of the alleged conversations to the police along with his complaint. He also expressed concerns about the safety of his daughters. The police registered a zero FIR based on Rao’s complaint and transferred the case to Khammam Rural Police, where the alleged incidents reportedly fall under their jurisdiction. Khammam Rural Inspector M Raju was quoted as saying that the police were examining the material submitted by Rao and verifying the allegations. “Police are examining the evidence. We have registered a case based on the complaint and are examining the evidence, including the chat messages. The allegations and the authenticity of the material are being verified as part of the investigation," Inspector M Raju said, according to the report. Investigators were looking into the alleged relationship between Bhavani and Saidulu, the circumstances in which the purported messages were exchanged and whether any concrete steps were taken to execute the alleged murder plan. Police were also verifying the authenticity and context of the digital evidence submitted by Rao. The report claimed that both Bhavani and Saidulu were absconding, and police launched a manhunt to locate them.
