Protesting students in Jharkhand have announced an assembly march following three rounds of talks with the administration that failed to yield a complete resolution. The student protesters are demanding a complete cancellation of recruitment examinations and an investigation by central agencies into alleged irregularities in job recruitment. While official representatives claim to have addressed ninety-eight percent of the demands, student representatives state that only fifty percent of their concerns were met.
Officials have expressed readiness to cancel the fourteenth JPSC preliminary examination and initiate financial investigations if transaction allegations arise. However, the government maintained that the CGL examination cannot be cancelled as it was conducted under judicial directions. Authorities have offered to set up a technical expert committee from prominent institutes to recommend recruitment reforms and established a dedicated email portal for student grievances.
Despite these assurances, student groups are proceeding with a peaceful march towards the assembly building holding national flags to press for full accountability and complete fulfillment of their demands.
