"At this time, we cannot provide further information about their condition. The police presumption is that this is a settling of scores within the criminal milieu," the statement read. Officers had been called to multiple locations in Holbaek, some 70 kilometers (45 miles) west of the capital, Copenhagen.
The incident was reported to police around 3:45 p.m. local time (1345 UTC). It was initially unclear how many people had been injured or how severe the injuries were. Police said that the perpetrators were seen leaving the scene in a white car, according to preliminary information.
