U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and Michael Boulos, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, visited the famed Jew Town in Mattancherry, home to the iconic Paradesi Synagogue, on Saturday (August 8).
They spent a few minutes at the synagogue before leaving. The visit took place amid tight security and was part of their Kerala tour, which
also included a visit to the Alappuzha backwaters. Earlier in the day, Mr. Gor held discussions with Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on strengthening cooperation between
Kerala and the U.S. in areas of mutual interest, particularly in higher education, tourism, culture, investment and maritime development.
