The Jharkhand government has agreed to hold separate talks with different student factions protesting over JSSC CGL examination demands in Ranchi. Delegations from student groups, including the JSSC Mancha and the Mahato group led by Ajayanath Mahato, reached the State Guesthouse for meetings with state ministers and officials. Separate talks are being conducted as the factions refuse to negotiate together due to claims of political bias.
The government is engaging with the student delegations to end the deadlock and address their grievances ahead of a planned march to gherao the Vidhan Sabha on August 10 during the ongoing monsoon session. Students maintain they will proceed with the protest march if the government fails to offer concrete assurances.
