The Tamil Nadu government has reconstituted the State Law Commission and appointed Justice D. Krishnakumar, former Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court, as its Chairman. A Government Order to this effect was issued by the Law Department.
Justice R.M.T. Teekaa Raman, former judge of the Madras High Court; T.K. Ramachandran, former Additional Chief Secretary; Arunagiri, former Secretary, Law Department, have been appointed as full-time members. P. Mohan Doss Govindarajan, both former District Judges, have been appointed as part-time members.
An officer in the cadre of Secretary, Law Department, will be the full-time Member Secretary. The term of office of the Chairman, full-time members and
part-time members will be three years from the date of assumption of charge by the Chairman.
