On the sixteenth day of the student stir in Ranchi against examination irregularities, the agitation faces factionalism as multiple student groups set up parallel protest camps at the venue. Alongside the Reform Manch and the Mahato CJM group, the left-linked All India Students' Association has established a separate camp. Agitating students accuse the Soren government of using divide-and-rule tactics to politicise and weaken the movement by inviting different factions for talks.
Despite the presence of multiple political camps and parallel stages, hundreds of tribal students carrying the national flag participated in a Tiranga March to Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium to express solidarity with the primary agitation. Protesters maintain that while student groups are divided along political lines, they remain united by the central cause against exam irregularities. The state government delegation scheduled meetings to determine whether to engage all factions together or individually.
