Karnataka govt. announces 50% waiver on pending traffic fines

• The decision was taken following a proposal from the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority ahead of the Lok Adalat scheduled for July 11. According to the Government Order issued by the Transport Department on Thursday, the concession applies to all pending traffic e-challan cases registered by the police department up to May 2026. The benefit has also been extended to cases recorded by the Transport Department between 1991 and 2022 that remain unpaid.
