Tamil Nadu has put up a united front against the proposed delimitation exercise, with MPs from the Congress, VCK, IUML, CPI, CPI(M) and MDMK backing opposition to any new delimitation bill. The meeting, called by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, lasted for more than an hour. Sources say Vijay told participants that any fresh delimitation bill, including a modified version, should be opposed and defeated.
