Protesters are also seeking a time-bound investigation within ninety days and action against those responsible. Although a second formal round of discussions between student representatives and a state government-appointed panel took place, no breakthrough was achieved, though both sides described the interaction as positive.
A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking exam cancellation and a probe. With demands unmet, agitating students have issued a call to surround the state assembly on August tenth, while security forces prepare for the demonstration.
