Meanwhile, the protest intensified in Ranchi as ABVP members marched towards Chief Minister Hemant Soren's residence, demanding his resignation, leading to a confrontation with police and several detentions.
The Jharkhand CID has also summoned three JPSC members for questioning in connection with the recruitment controversy. The government says it is collecting feedback from various student groups before taking a decision on reforms, while the protesters have announced further demonstrations.
