IndiGo on Thursday said it will temporarily halt services to six overseas destinations from July as it recalibrates capacity in response to weakening demand and elevated operating costs, despite the ongoing summer vacation rush.
Services to Langkawi (Malaysia), Krabi (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Hong Kong and Shanghai will be suspended from July 1, while flights to Siem Reap (Cambodia) will be paused from July 3. The suspension will remain in place until September 30. The affected routes are popular among Indian travellers and provide direct connectivity to key leisure and business destinations across Southeast Asia and China.
IndiGo said bookings on all six routes will reopen from October 1, though services could resume earlier if demand improves.
The airline described the move as a limited adjustment to its international network during a traditionally softer travel quarter and amid a challenging cost environment.
