A special report on Health 360 highlights growing medical concerns over vaping and e-cigarette usage, particularly among the youth. Doctors warn that aerosol produced by e-cigarettes contains harmful chemicals, nicotine, and formaldehyde, which cause tissue irritation, constrict blood vessels, and potentially act as carcinogens. Although e-cigarettes are perceived as safer, experts emphasize that replacing cigarette smoke with aerosol does not remove health risks.
The report also addresses the health benefits of a short walk immediately after meals. Dr Stuti Das explains that 10 to 20 minutes after eating, blood glucose levels rise, and a 15 to 30-minute walk allows activated muscles to use glucose as fuel, effectively settling blood sugar spikes. However, experts clarify that post-meal walks do not replace diabetes medication, stressing a holistic management approach through diet, exercise, medication, and regular monitoring.
