The call was made from the personal mobile phone of Jailer Saddam Hussain inside his office, where the inmates were present.

The three prisoners have been identified as Tariq Chishti, his son Tausif Chishti alias Chinki, and nephew Fakhar Jamali. In the video, the jailer is seen initiating the call and allowing the inmates to speak with Nafees Chishti, with a casual exchange of greetings suggesting familiarity. During the conversation, Nafees is heard asking about Tariq and telling the jailer to take care of him, while also assuring the inmates that “everything else will be managed." Who Are The Jailed Three? The three men were sentenced to seven years in 2025 for a 2014 life-threatening attack on Haji Syed Bilal Hussain Chishti, a hereditary custodian of the Sufi shrine Ajmer Sharif. The verdict was upheld by the High Court. While Tariq and Fakhar are currently out on bail, Tausif remains lodged in Ajmer Jail. The report states that at the time of the video call, all three were inside the Central Jail.

Conversation Details Raise Concerns Over Alleged Nexus The video also includes references to other individuals and suggests an alleged network of contacts, according to a report by the Dainik Bhaskar. Nafees is heard asking about the other two inmates, after which the jailer turns the phone toward them. He later tells them not to worry and that arrangements will be taken care of. At one point, the inmates are heard saying there is “nothing to worry" about, citing the presence of the jailer. The exchange also mentions individuals named Rameez, Sarwar and Masood, indicating continued contact outside the prison. Jail Superintendent R. Anteshwaran said he had no information about the video and would comment only after verifying its authenticity, as per the report. He added that if the video is found to be genuine, the matter would be “very serious and shocking." Tausif Chishti has also previously been linked to the Khalistani supporter group Babbar Khalsa International and faced allegations of sheltering operatives, providing weapons and facilitating illegal activities.
