Heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR over a 24-hour period, triggering severe waterlogging, flooding and widespread disruption across the national capital region. South Delhi's MB Road, Kapashera, Gandhi Nagar, Chattarpur and Burari witnessed major waterlogging, with parts of Chattarpur reporting several feet of water and schoolchildren being ferried through flooded areas.
Officials reported nine house-collapse incidents and 16 fallen trees during the period. In Gurugram, rainwater flooded the civil hospital basement, while an ambulance was stranded near the Mahamaya flyover. A tree also uprooted near the Supreme Court at Tilak Marg. The IMD has indicated that the wet spell is likely to continue, raising concerns over further disruption across Delhi-NCR.
