(Representative image) A 52-year-old woman, identified as Dakshayini, was found dead inside a duplex house in Bengaluru’s Bagalagunte area, with police suspecting that she may have died nearly a year ago. The incident came to light in Havanur Layout, where Dakshayini had been living alone. Her body remained undiscovered inside the house for nearly a year, according to preliminary information. Dakshayini was reportedly battling depression following the deaths of her husband and son.
Her husband, Umesh, died around 10 years ago, while her son later succumbed to cancer, NDTV reported. Police suspect that Dakshayini died about a year ago. During this period, her daughter and son-in-law had reportedly not visited the house. Bagalagunte police reached the spot, inspected the premises and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of her death.
